Eternal Sunshine

Last week I did a review on an action movie and this week I took a chance on a romantic movie called “eternal sunshine of the spotless mind.” The movie was directed by Michael Gondry in 2004 starring Jim Carrey at his finest. I was able to watch this wonderful film through Netflix and was amazed at how easy it was to relate to the characters involved.

The movie is about how Joel (Jim Carrey) sees his ex-giriflrend Clementine (Kate Winslet) an talks to her but then realizing she didn’t recognize him. He later discovers that she erased all the memories from their relationship and for revenge he decided to go to a clinic to erase all his memories of his ex-girlfriend as well. During the process though, he realizes that all the memories are very important no matter how painful it is to bear. Even though the movie seems a bit far-fetched at time, it ties well altogether with the emotion as the center of it all and helps the audience relate to the movie.
Overall the movie was very satisfying to watch since the plot was creative and not too complicated for the mass audience. Joel was very easy to understand throughout the movie and couldn’t help but relate to the feelings he have gone through with relationships.  Clementine was fun to watch throughout the movie as well since she was quite the opposite of Joel; extroverted, wild, and carefree. It seem as though the whole point of the movie was that at the end of the day, our memories is pretty much all we have and if they disappear then in a way, we will disappear as well.
Two thumbs up for this great romantic movie.

007 sky fall

This week I watched the movie ‘007 sky fall’ with my family on Tuesday, I wasn’t really
expect it to be a good or decent movie since I didn’t really enjoy last few series. But this time I
really enjoyed the movie and so is my family. Movie starts with 007, the famous James Bond
doing mission to retrieve the list of secret agents that are in under cover but he failed and got
shot by his own team and he disappears for few months. Meanwhile, in England, everyone thinks
that 007 is dead and the M, the director of MI6, is being force to quit because of deaths of agents
and expose of the list. 007 returns to the MI6 but he is no longer fit for the job since he’s old
compare to the other agents and has mental problem. But M decided to give him another chance
to get things right and he reaches the source of the entire problem. Silva, who was the former
agent of MI6 and wants to see M fall and die, Silva offers 007 to join him by tell him how he
was in the same situation as 007 and he was abandoned but 007 refuses and Silva get caught and
transfer to London. But he planned to get caught to kill M while her hearing but 007 saved M
escaped with her to Scotland where he used live when he was young. They prepared before Silva
attacks, they set up traps in the house and get ammo for their guns. When Silva attacked, 007
won the fight but house burnt down and M got heavy wounded so she had to run away with
friend of 007, they ran to church and Silva followed them to there and force M to fire the gun so
him and M die together but 007 caught up with them and killed Silva, unfortunately, M was too
heavily injured, she died right after. Movie ends with 007 getting another mission.
